Flipkart Redmi 1s order |
The Xiaomi Redmi 1S sales took place on 2nd Sept 2014, and the order was as of that date, till now that is 7th Sept 2014, it has not been shipped.
Flipkart and Xiaomi claimed that there are 40000 units of Redmi 1S put up on sale as on the sale date, and they claimed to have sold out in so and so seconds, but how can you sell out something which you don't even have physical stocks of in any warehouse within the country? If they have real physical stock of the said phone then they would have packed them and shipped them already and those who have ordered would have received the phone by now.
After the sale is finished, then only they will get the said phones imported from Xiaomi's own or outsourced factories in China, so no wonder it takes some time for the imports to arrive in India.
Update 13 Sept 2014:
On searching Zauba.com for the import shipment data of Xiaomi Redmi 1S phone, it shows that the said 40000 phones put on sale on 2nd Sept 2014 were imported in two batches, the first batch of 20000 on 4th Sept 2014 and the rest of the 20000 on 5th Sept 2014. So can they claim a sold out if the phone isnt in flipkart warehouse at the beginning of sale on 2nd Sept 2014? or the shipment is meant for a latter date sale?
With this shipment data, it looks like they import the shipment only after the claimed soldout of 40000 phones on 2nd Sept 2014. |
