Barcelona want Aguero

Lionel Messi is good friend with Sergio Aguero and it is reported that his contract renewal conditions has one which asked the club to sign Sergio Aguero, we don't know if this information is true but now it has been reported that Barcelona and Luis Enrique are keen to sign the player but a lot will hinge on if Barca is able to sell the other wingers like Pedro and Tello who are not a big part of the club future plans. Signing Aguero will add to the already brilliant attack and with Messi and Aguero showing that they can work well together, it would be great to play the two players together.

Barca interested in signing Koke

Barcelona has evinced interest in signing the 21 year old midfielder Koke of Atletico Madrid and the midfielder admits he is happy with Barcelona FC interest in him. Barca are looking to strengthen their midfield with Fabregas, Alex Song expected to be sold and their main playmaker Xavi is not at his best anymore.

Carlos Puyol will stay on at Barcelona FC!

Carlos Puyol has decided not to join any other smaller teams to further his footballing career and he has instead decided retire from professional football and will take up a new non-playing role at Barcelona FC. He would be working alongside sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta. This is a good sign for the club, and surely Puyol now will be able to convince the sporting director to get world class defender who can fit into Barcelona football philosophy.

Tottenham joined race for Alex Song

Tottenham hotspurs has joined Manchester United, Monaco and Liverpool in the race to sign Alex Song of Barcelona FC who has failed to fit into the squad and is deemed to be unwanted by the club. He was signed by Barcelona after they failed to get Javi Martinez and it proved to be an ill conceived move as he was vastly confined to the bench and only play bit part role. And despite the injuries of main central defender, he wasn't use as backup there even though he was signed to serve that purpose probably because he cannot fit in there very well.

Napoli want Mascherano

Napoli is working out a deal to try to get Barcelona FC's Javier Mascherano to join the club as the current Napoli Rafa Benitez has worked with the player before at Liverpool and know the player quite well and would want him to join his team. However Mascherano is currently Barcelona starting central defensive option and they would unlikely want to let him go without securing the services of a full time central defender first.

Barcelona interested in Marquinhos

Marquinhos is a worried man after his club PSG spent the highest ever transfer fee for a defender to buy David Luiz from Chelsea which is a savvy piece of business done by the selling club. He is concerned about his lack of first team opportunities arising from the arrival of David Luiz and is pleased with Barcelona interest in him though they are yet to make any official approach and all their interests are just rumoured.

In a major disappointment for most enlightened Barcelona's supporters, Pique has signed a new contract which will keep him at Barca until 2019, the delighted Barcelona president even labelled Pique as the best center back in the world which would leave a lot of people shocked at such an assessment. How can a player who is widely maligned for the numerous defensive error and problem in the Barcelona team which undermined their pursuits of glories in the past few seasons, can be considered to be the best? If the Barcelona hierarchy has such a yardstick for measuring defenders performance and abilities then how can Barcelona supporters trust them that they will get a defender who is suited for the task?

Alen Halilovic signs 5 year contract with Barca

Alen Halilovic, the teenage playmaker who joined Barcelona FC from Dinamo Zagreb for 2.2 millions euro has signed a 5 year contract with the club. He is going to start playing for Barcelona B first before being being played in the first team. With the Barca first team bench midfield play maker not making too much of an impact, it would be interesting to see the new Barcelona manager use him more in the first team to evaluate if he could make it in the first team in the first season itself since the incumbent playmaker isn't in good form and is not getting any younger.

Leo Messi signs new deal

Barcelona FC reported that Leo Messi has signed an improved contract at the Club Presidential Box today in the presence of the Club President Josep Maria Bartomeu and the player’s father as well as the sporting vice-president Jordi Mestre and the Club CEO, Antoni Rossich.

Luis Enrique is also confirmed to have sign a two years deal to be Barcelona new manager.

It is a good move by Barcelona and all supporters would want the board to give the new manager the freedom to buy the player he wants and sell the player he doesn't want, if that option isn't given then no matter how good a manager a person is, his hands would be tied. This move signals a move back to Barca's footballing philosophy and it shows in the just ended season, their attempt to develop a Plan B failed miserably as crossing the ball into the box with no one who could head the ball well. In the end, their Plan A also end up not being executed properly.

Barcelona want to buy Suarez?

Daily mail reported that Barcelona & Madrid are battling with each other for Liverpool's striker Luis Suarez in the summer transfer window with a transfer fee of around £100 million. I doubt Barcelona FC would be interested, there is no way they will cough up another 100m for a forward, when their back line is having a serious problems. This rumour is unlikely to be true in Barcelona case though as no people are this stupid to want to buy Suarez after all the defensive problems they are facing.

Football direct news reported that Barcelona will welcome bids for winger Pedro this summer. The Spain international is wanted by Manchester United among other clubs, it would be a good decision to sell Pedro as he has come up short at crucial time.

Luis Enrique, a great coach for Celta says Barca director

Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta considered Luis Enrique to be a great coach for Celta amid speculation that they are ready to part ways with Gerardo Martino and appoint Luis Enrique.

Barca has reportedly contacted Luis Enrique which is not considered to be a wise move especially since the season is not yet over and they are challenging for the La Liga title, the players and the current head coach deserved not to be distracted by such thing at such crucial juncture.

So far in this season, the frequent distractions like Neymar's transfer issues, Puyol's announcement of leaving, Messi's contract renewals, has obviously led the team to dropping their performances at crucial stages in the season. Questions indeed need to be asked of the current board competency and intention to allow such things to happen right under their noses. For instance, Puyol's leaving could have been announced at the end of season, and it reminds one of Valdes' similar announcement which derailed the team, it is quite a pain to see long time players not thinking about the club before making such an announcement as it will only served to harm the club's interests.

Neymar wont end career at Barcelona FC

Neymar said that he won't end his footballing career at Barcelona FC as he is keen to return to Santos before he calls it a day. He said that financial reasons isn't the reason for him joining Barcelona FC, it is about being able to face a new challenge in the La Liga and the Champions league and of course to play for Barcelona FC. Indeed if he is doing so for maximum financial gains then he wouldn't have ended up at Barcelona FC, he would have join Real Madrid FC who also wanted to buy him and offer him possibly a better contract as they have more financial powers compared to Barcelona.

Brazil want Barcelona FC to win La Liga

There were reports suggesting that Brazilian FA had asked Neymar to be rested on Saturday when Barcelona FC take on Atletico Madrid for the La Liga League Championship title in a match which Barcelona FC has to win to be crowned league champions.

This prompted a response from the Brazil boss Luiz Felipe Scolari who suggested that he and the rest of the national set-up are rooting for Barcelona over Atletico Madrid in the race for La Liga this weekend. Scolari is also hoping that his two players can be given a boost ahead of the World Cup this summer by winning La Liga. So there are no questions of asking Barcelona FC to rest any Brazilian players in their lineup for the crucial match.

Liverpool talking with Barca Christian Tello

talkSport reportedly said that Liverpool have begun transfer negotiations for Barcelona winger-forward Christian Tello for £8 million. He has been devoid of much playing time at Barcelona FC with the likes of Sanchez, Pedro, Neymar in the team but it would do Barcelona FC good not to sell him as he can be a good cover for the first team and selling him don't add much to Barcelona transfer kitty.

Barcelona FC offering Alex Song to other clubs

It has been reported by Football Direct News that Barcelona FC has offered Alex Song to Manchester United among other clubs. The defensive midfielder signed from Arsenal, doesn't fit into the Barcelona squad and is surplus to requirement, he was signed because they didn't manage to buy Javi Martinez but it turned out to be an ill conceived move as he spend most of his time on the bench and unable to play well in a central defender role. However Arsenal might be interested in getting him back as he did well at the club before being sold to Barcelona FC.

Barca and Arsenal want Javi Martinez of Bayern Munich

The Daily Mail reported that Barcelona have entered the race with Arsenal for Bayern Munich midfielder Javi Martinez. The Spanish club are preparing a bid in excess of £30 million for the 25-year-old. I don't know about Arsenal interest in the player, but Barcelona FC are definitely interested in the player as they failed to sign him a few seasons back, he can play in central defense and defensive midfield position, typical Barcelona FC style to sign more versatile players and he isn't lacking in the height department :)

Manchester United interested in Javier Mascherano

Football Direct News reported that Manchester United are considering a move for Barcelona FC defensive midfielder Javier Mascherano who is starting as a central defender in Barcelona FC. With Barca now looking to buy natural central defender to plug the defensive hole in the team, and the defensive midfield position being occupied by Sergio Buesquet, Mascherano might not find himself starting the game next season, so he might indeed be leaving if he doesn't want to sit in the bench.

Thibaut Courtois to join Barcelona?

Mundo Deportivo seemed to be hallucinating when they reported that Chelsea-owned Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has handed in a transfer request in order to join Barcelona. This transfer rumour doesn't make much sense. Barcelona FC already has agreed terms with Marc-andre Ter Stegen and his club and he is expected to join the club as soon as the transfer window open, Courtois is unlikely to want to join Barcelona when they already signed a number 1 keeper, he is definitely more likely to want to join Atletico Madrid but Chelsea is unlikely to want to sell him.

Lionel Messi wants Aguero at Barcelona

Lionel Messi is close to signing a new and improved contract with Barcelona FC but according to Catalan TV3 report, Messi asked for two sporting conditions to be met also, the first condition is to sign Sergio Aguero from Manchester City and the second condition is for Barcelona FC to offer current Barcelona goalkeeper Jose Manuel Pinto a contract renewal. With Barcelone FC chasing defenders as of now, they are unlikely to get Aguero as he is going to cost them a lot to acquire unless they managed to offload some of the other forwards, however the contract renewal for Pinto could be done.
