Barcelona offered a shocking 70 millions UK pound for Luis Suarez

The guardian reported that Barcelona has tabled around 70 millions UK pound for the Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and this price is offered despite Luis Suarez being banned from all football related activities for 4 months and he isn't even allowed to enter a football stadium.

It is shocking to see Barcelona willing to pay so much for a striker which is not a priority position to be filled in the current Barcelona squad given the good performance by Alexis Sanchez in the world cup. This bring into question the transfer policy of the club in which they have so far yet to filled up the crucial central defender position in the squad.

Naturally they can't get the good defenders they wanted if they are not willing to pay for it and every club knew Barcelona need for a defender so they wouldn't sell at a lower price.

Barcelona agree terms with Marco Reus

Barcelona have reportedly agreed personal terms with Marco Reus and are now ready to offer €35 million for the Borussia Dortmund midfielder. So now it remained to be seen if Dortmund agree to let him go for only that much money.

Barcelona want Aguero

Lionel Messi is good friend with Sergio Aguero and it is reported that his contract renewal conditions has one which asked the club to sign Sergio Aguero, we don't know if this information is true but now it has been reported that Barcelona and Luis Enrique are keen to sign the player but a lot will hinge on if Barca is able to sell the other wingers like Pedro and Tello who are not a big part of the club future plans. Signing Aguero will add to the already brilliant attack and with Messi and Aguero showing that they can work well together, it would be great to play the two players together.

Barca interested in signing Koke

Barcelona has evinced interest in signing the 21 year old midfielder Koke of Atletico Madrid and the midfielder admits he is happy with Barcelona FC interest in him. Barca are looking to strengthen their midfield with Fabregas, Alex Song expected to be sold and their main playmaker Xavi is not at his best anymore.

Tottenham joined race for Alex Song

Tottenham hotspurs has joined Manchester United, Monaco and Liverpool in the race to sign Alex Song of Barcelona FC who has failed to fit into the squad and is deemed to be unwanted by the club. He was signed by Barcelona after they failed to get Javi Martinez and it proved to be an ill conceived move as he was vastly confined to the bench and only play bit part role. And despite the injuries of main central defender, he wasn't use as backup there even though he was signed to serve that purpose probably because he cannot fit in there very well.

Napoli is working out a deal to try to get Barcelona FC's Javier Mascherano to join the club as the current Napoli Rafa Benitez has worked with the player before at Liverpool and know the player quite well and would want him to join his team. However Mascherano is currently Barcelona starting central defensive option and they would unlikely want to let him go without securing the services of a full time central defender first.

Marquinhos is a worried man after his club PSG spent the highest ever transfer fee for a defender to buy David Luiz from Chelsea which is a savvy piece of business done by the selling club. He is concerned about his lack of first team opportunities arising from the arrival of David Luiz and is pleased with Barcelona interest in him though they are yet to make any official approach and all their interests are just rumoured.

Barcelona want to buy Suarez?

Daily mail reported that Barcelona & Madrid are battling with each other for Liverpool's striker Luis Suarez in the summer transfer window with a transfer fee of around £100 million. I doubt Barcelona FC would be interested, there is no way they will cough up another 100m for a forward, when their back line is having a serious problems. This rumour is unlikely to be true in Barcelona case though as no people are this stupid to want to buy Suarez after all the defensive problems they are facing.

Barcelona FC offering Alex Song to other clubs

It has been reported by Football Direct News that Barcelona FC has offered Alex Song to Manchester United among other clubs. The defensive midfielder signed from Arsenal, doesn't fit into the Barcelona squad and is surplus to requirement, he was signed because they didn't manage to buy Javi Martinez but it turned out to be an ill conceived move as he spend most of his time on the bench and unable to play well in a central defender role. However Arsenal might be interested in getting him back as he did well at the club before being sold to Barcelona FC.

The Daily Mail reported that Barcelona have entered the race with Arsenal for Bayern Munich midfielder Javi Martinez. The Spanish club are preparing a bid in excess of £30 million for the 25-year-old. I don't know about Arsenal interest in the player, but Barcelona FC are definitely interested in the player as they failed to sign him a few seasons back, he can play in central defense and defensive midfield position, typical Barcelona FC style to sign more versatile players and he isn't lacking in the height department :)

Manchester United interested in Javier Mascherano

Football Direct News reported that Manchester United are considering a move for Barcelona FC defensive midfielder Javier Mascherano who is starting as a central defender in Barcelona FC. With Barca now looking to buy natural central defender to plug the defensive hole in the team, and the defensive midfield position being occupied by Sergio Buesquet, Mascherano  might not find himself starting the game next season, so he might indeed be leaving if he doesn't want to sit in the bench.

Thibaut Courtois to join Barcelona?

Mundo Deportivo seemed to be hallucinating when they reported that Chelsea-owned Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has handed in a transfer request in order to join Barcelona. This transfer rumour doesn't make much sense. Barcelona FC already has agreed terms with Marc-andre Ter Stegen and his club and he is expected to join the club as soon as the transfer window open, Courtois is unlikely to want to join Barcelona when they already signed a number 1 keeper, he is definitely more likely to want to join Atletico Madrid but Chelsea is unlikely to want to sell him.

Lionel Messi is close to signing a new and improved contract with Barcelona FC but according to Catalan TV3 report, Messi asked for two sporting conditions to be met also, the first condition is to sign Sergio Aguero from Manchester City and the second condition is for Barcelona FC to offer current Barcelona goalkeeper Jose Manuel Pinto a contract renewal. With Barcelone FC chasing defenders as of now, they are unlikely to get Aguero as he is going to cost them a lot to acquire unless they managed to offload some of the other forwards, however the contract renewal for Pinto could be done.
